Terms and Conditions – Drive your dream forward

1. The promoter of this competition is Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre (“the Promoter”). 

2. In order to facilitate this competition, the Promoter must collect and use certain personal information from participants in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”). By entering, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal information solely for purposes related to this competition. 

3. By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You further warrant that you are not aware of any legal impediment preventing you from entering. If the competition requires submission of photographs, artwork or images, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions. Any entrant who contravenes these Terms may be disqualified. 

4. Eligibility: 

4.1 Entry is open to citizens and permanent residents of South Africa who are 18 years or older. 

4.2 Only businesses operating in, or individuals residing in, the King Cetshwayo District may enter. 

4.3 The winner will be required to present a valid South African ID document to claim the prize. 

4.4 The prize must be collected from Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre. 

5. Competition Dates: 

5.1 1–15 September 2025: Local entrepreneurs submit entries (personal details, ID copy, proof of address, motivation letter, and business proposal) via the digital entry form or email to YHlophe@broll.com / marketing@boardwalkinkwazi.co.za. 

5.2 16 September – 23 October 2025: Shoppers spending R300 or more at any store can vote for their chosen business by presenting slips at the competition activation point. 

5.3 31 October 2025: The in-centre car giveaway event will take place, where the top three finalists will compete in activities to determine the winner. 

6 How to Enter: 

6.1 Scan the QR code on competition advertising material and complete the online entry form with all required documents, OR 

6.2 Email all required information and documents to the addresses provided above. 

6.3 Each entrepreneur/business may enter once only. Incomplete entries will not be considered. 

6.4 Images of the vehicle used in promotional material are for illustration purposes, only. 

7. Prize Details: 

7.1 One (1) winner will receive a vehicle. 

7.2 Vehicle registration and licensing will be facilitated by the dealership. 

7.3 The winner is responsible for fuel, insurance, servicing, and maintenance of the vehicle. 

7.4 The prize is not transferable, not negotiable, and not redeemable for cash. 

7.5 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary, in line with South African law. 

8. Finalist Contact: 

8.1 Finalists will be contacted via telephone and email. 

8.2 If a finalist cannot be reached within 5 days or declines the prize, the next eligible entrant will be selected. 

8.3 The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

9. Exclusions: 

9.1 Directors, members, partners, employees, tenants (and their employees), agents, consultants, suppliers, and immediate family members of Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre are not eligible to enter. 

9.2 Entrants unwilling to provide personal information for competition purposes may not participate. 

10. Indemnity: 

10.1 Participants indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter, its affiliates, staff, contractors, and partners from any claim, loss, damage, injury, death, or costs arising from participation in the competition or use of the prize. 

10.2 This competition is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. 

10.3 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend the competition at any time if circumstances arise beyond its reasonable control.
